I say we keep things in perspective. There are about 8 to 10 deaths a year from venomous snakes in the U.S. and 2 per year in Australia. I believe Sri Lanka leads the way with 800 per year. (Guiness Book) Worldwide estimations are 40,000 per year from venomous snakes. If you'll look at the chart below "we oughta pass a law banning the possession of Cheeseburgers, Cars , and the manufacturing of toxic chemicals, ". Some may argue that we need these things. Well, we don't really need cheeseburgers and french fries, but we certainly love them don't we. And when you put those things in your body, you know there are consequences don't you ? Owning venomous snakes also has risks. And if you don't follow the rules ( Hots 101 Link Below ) you know there are consequences. But I'd say we have a pretty good track record according to the National Center for Health Statistics, U.S. Dept. Of Health and Human Services. Don't you ?
