At the risk of sounding like a fool, I think I got some Kelp Calcium,
along with my seeds that I ordered from TurtleCafe. I'm NOT SURE
though, and will need tcc to come in on this. I didn't specifically
order it, and when I got it (white powder in a small baggie) I figured
it was a free sample. However I wasn't really sure what it was
for, and I though I saw that it was a supplement to add to the
ground, so I dumped it on the ground and mixed it in with the
soil that I planted the seeds on. I wasn't going to give it
to my tortoise as a supplement on his food because I wasn't sure
that's what it was supposed to be, and could not find this on
the website. I though Kelp was a type of seaweed or something,
and I know it's a popular supplement for horses.
I'm mentioning this because I see that Mary fed it to her tortoise
daily.
I usually scrape cuttlebone off onto his food, and use Repti-Cal
and Herptivite also.
Sorry to be so stupid about this Kelp thing, but I really don't
know?? niki
