Thanks for the advice. I've built him a temporary enclosure outdoors until we have the room to build something better. He really seems happier out there! I am relieved to hear that they don't drink much. i was beginning to worry.

I've been feeding him a combination of dandelions (that I pick out of my yard..and which he'll eat from my hand) and a lettuce mix that I bought at the grocery...one of those Dole bagged salads. It has romaine, endive, escarole, and radiccio lettuces. I also cut the leafy tops off of my carrots (which my water turtles love), and I offered him some of that. He doesn't care too much for it, though.
