I have recently acquired two one year old sulcatas and one of them had a slight runny nose when I first got him two weeks ago. No runny eyes, and what seems to be a healthy appetite. Well, now both nostrils seem to be closed by either skin debris or dried mucus, but he obviously won't let me get close enough to tell. Also, I have a nice ambient temp of roughly 82-84F all the time, with a slight drop at night and a warmer basking spot. I can't tell if both are eating since the food is mostly eaten while I'm gone. My question is, can tortoises slow down regardless of a keepers artificial husbandry? I've had snakes for 15yrs and I know that "some" can slow down during winter months regardless of a keepers temps and artificial photoperiods...... Any ideas or suggestions??? THANK YOU!!!!
