Recently I adopted a Bell's Hingeback tortoise. His fecals are surprisingly clear and at first he responded well to greens, carrots, and occasional moist cat food and was quite active. This past month, however, his activity level has dropped to almost nil. He eats if put in front of his food, and he drinks and sometimes defecates when put in his soaking tub, but otherwise he's a statue. I keep him in a 36" aquarium with basking light, UV fluorescents, a heating pad, and plexiglass panels covering most of the top to increase humidity. Any ideas?
