I mentioned that last year Skippy voluntarily hibernated- sort of. I kept the house at between 65* and 70* and he has access to a basking light. He chose not to use it. I kept a small ammount of food available for him and kept his water dish filled. every week or so I would poke him to see if he was alive. I had absolutely no problems. when he was ready he came out to drink and eat, and everything was fine.
I think your tortoise will do the same. I wouldn't worry.
