: :Hi Eric
I just was wondering about the food in his stomach when he did take the Longgg naps (like semi-hibernation??)
But if Skippy did ok, then I guess Aladar will too. Not much room inside... We are thinking of moving so.... I guess it is best to overwinter... and maybe then I can get a larger indoor environment for him... THANKS!

: I mentioned that last year Skippy voluntarily hibernated- sort of. I kept the house at between 65* and 70* and he has access to a basking light. He chose not to use it. I kept a small ammount of food available for him and kept his water dish filled. every week or so I would poke him to see if he was alive. I had absolutely no problems. when he was ready he came out to drink and eat, and everything was fine.
: I think your tortoise will do the same. I wouldn't worry.
