: How long will it take for a 3.5" sulcatta to reach 10inches under proper conditions? What is the maximum growth rate without shell pyramiding occuring?

There is really no telling how your tort will grow. Torts (especially the larger species) grow at such different rates...I have 2 sulcatas that are clutchmates. They're 2 years old now. They both live outside year round, eat the same diet (natural foods through grazing only--no store bought greens). When I got them they were basically the same size. Now, one is about 3-1/2lbs and the other is nearly 8lbs. Exact same conditions! Sorry for the non-answer, but slow and steady growth is the best. Just enjoy him while he's small; it won't be much longer!
