: Kathy, That is why I stress not trying to regulate the quantity of food. The setup you describe sounds ideal and is one that I would recomend to anyone. Let the animal decide how much it needs. Each one is an individual with individual metabolisms. I only used your example to further show that rate is relitive as I think you are saying. I think that 'normal' is something that someone, one day, put a tag on and doesn't really exist.

It's odd that, even though they eat the same, they have grown so differently. Back to pyramiding, when I got them they were extremely pyramided (and still are). But they are smoothing out quite nicely. Time will tell.
