Heather,
how did you feed the tortoise?
Did you force it's mouth open and place the food in, or what?

I'm getting a Russian Tortoise today, I'll be babysitting it for two weeks while the owner goes on vacation.
This is a recent import , purchased with two others that are doing fine.

I will only be baby sitting the sick one.
It has not eaten on it's own since it was purchased almost two weeks ago.
It has seen a vet and been tube fed, treated for worms.

I have already knocked together an outdoor enclosure for it. It's right outside my front door, so I can keep close tabs on it.
If it's too sick it will stay indoors, and indoors at night if it can go out during the day.

I haven't seen the tortoise yet, it will arrive today.
But any tips on getting it to eat are very welcome.
I am going to offer it everything in the hope it will find something it likes enough to nibble on.
Any advise much appreciated.
Terry.
