Come now, Bill, I was not the one who brought up Bert. Just because I do not jump on the breeder worship band wagon does not mean I have problems with Bert. As much as some people like to stir the sh!t it is really is groundless.
I do not agree that indoor bred tegus are inferior to outdoor tegus. That is the only thing I have disagreed with Bert on. I have always said good things about Bert and have never heard anything but good about and from him.
As for looking in the mirror, well I think we all should. I can't say I will ever produce more tegus than Bert, I can say I don't want to. I can say I can look at the baby tegus I have hatched and feel pretty good that I have an opinion. My opinion is not based on 20+ years of reptiles but is based on this years babies. Did you hatch any out this year Bill? See, while you try to create a problem between Bert and I there is not one. I fail to see why you are speaking for him?! (or are trying to)
You talk about what you know and I will talk about what I know. If Bert wants to talk to me he is ALWAYS welcome. I respect Bert and his opinions, I just don't worship reptile breeders. :o)
This started with you telling me about feeding frozen food. Where is it now and why did you bring Bert's name into it. Tell me what you know, not what you heard from some guy.
Funny you mention it, I did talk with Bert this year about my eggs. He told me that my indoor tegus were not strong and few would hatch or survive. Funny, I had a 100% hatch rate for all eggs that made it past the first 10 days. I had 2 deformed babies that died. I think that is better than ANY other breeder I talked to. 100% hatch rate, pretty good for inferior tegus, lol.
