Ratsnakes, huh? Please help here...

I am new to herpetology in general, and loving learning about all herps. Just noticed Ratsnakes, and from the pics, they look very cool. What is different about Ratsnakes from old snakes (pythons & boas) and colubrids?

And what about temperament, aggresive?
