: Ssp. get into mutiple morphs, and you can find a ratsnake of one kind or other in almost any color except maybe blue and purple(though some people swear by the lavender cornsnakes).
Don't forget the blue beauty, Elaphe taeinura ssp. It's in the running for bluest colubrid.
Most species in the genus Elaphe, including lots of european and asian species are called ratsnakes.
