Okay, so let me see if I got this right? Out of the blue 10-12 years ago an albino bairds just pops up? We're talking about a snake native to North America and although a wild caught animal has yet to be found on the other side of the world they have them. Come on that's a little far fetched at best.

I was thinking of getting in on those as I would say I'm one of the biggest lovers of bairds rats in this forum. To ease my mind and feel I could sell them as pure I thought I would have to breed them to an albino obsoleta and find out of the babies came out albino or normal, that should clear the whole thing up right? But, to do that I would have to do something I don't think should be done.

Option two, I could just sell them and say "who knows" I "assume" they're pure. Well, that made me think of something my mother told me when I was about 9 years old. She said when you "assume" things you make an ass(u)me. So I went with the not liked but best choice for me given my view on these, not to get them at all.

I'm not going to ever say anything for 100% fact but, I would stake $1000 I don't have those animals are NOT pure. I've seen pied bairds as well and while that project isn't for me I think it would be a better choice then the almost assured hybrid albino bairds.

Oh and second (or whatever number I should be on)thing to consider. If you ask the person selling them where this bloodline came from in the states I would bet a lot of money they're all going to go back to one person. The people they'll go back to is known for a fact to be a hybid person. I'm assuming her found something he thought would sell and is selling them through a friend to cover his back and not draw attention. You're welcome to email me if you want any other names or info I won't share in a forum.

Good luck,
Adam Block

PS If you have any info that can 100% back up these animals are pure, email me solid proof! I will pay 4x the going albino baird rate for animals not related to the mentioned stock or for wild caught albino animals.
