: I was wondering if anyone has any info. on this snake?
: Thanks
: Jon
There are 7 species S. arctifasciatus
S. betsileanus
S. gaimardi
s. granuliceps
S. guentheri
S. inornatus
S. variabilis
plus many subspecies
They are nocturnal and arboreal snakes. Some lay eggs and some have live young .
There is a fair write up in "A Field Guide to Amphibians and Reptiles of Madagascar
but mentions nothing on diet and care. I will look for other material and try to get back to you with it. Do you have one of these??
This book also has pictures of most of the species. Interesting looking snake.
