escaped snake in house

I found a small (~13") rat snake in my house today and caught it. I was pretty busy, so I put it in a small jar w/a loose lid on it. We had bad storms and high winds tonight and it blew over the jar (jar was next to window). Now the snake is loose in my house. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to re-capture this guy? Any ideas will be appreciated. I'm pretty sure that it's harmless, but I have 7 yr. old daughter and don't want her freaking out if she finds it. Thanks!
