: : This little girl (lol).
: : No, seriously, you can try putting a small tank w/bedding, a water jug, and maybe a jar with a small mouse in it, with a screen top, down on the floor, along the wall, in the room you think the snake is in. It might go into the tank at night for water, see the mice, but not be able to get them. Check the tank in the morning, and several times a day, to see if the escapee makes an appearance.
: : : I found a small (~13") rat snake in my house today and caught it. I was pretty busy, so I put it in a small jar w/a loose lid on it. We had bad storms and high winds tonight and it blew over the jar (jar was next to window). Now the snake is loose in my house. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to re-capture this guy? Any ideas will be appreciated. I'm pretty sure that it's harmless, but I have 7 yr. old daughter and don't want her freaking out if she finds it. Thanks!
: TC, my male domestic shorthair [andy] saw that pic and flipped! he thinks she's hot. wants her email address. he's excellent around around herps, especially turtles and is a non smoker! likes naps and deli-cat.
Dan, Sho-ning says he can come over for a visit if he brings the deli-cat and the beer. Oh, and she is usually indisposed bt. noon and about five-ish. She doesn't nap together on the first date :)
