Elaphe Scalaris......Question

I have very limited exposure to this rat other than physically catching one while working in Rota, Spain.

My question is......this snake appears to have a turned up nose/snout like that of a pine or bull (at least the one I had did). Could this possibly be a Euro type Pituophis? Please don't slam me on this one but I got to looking at my bulls and then the picture of the scalaris I captured and the two had the nose thing in common.
