Hi all ... nice to see such an active forum! My question is as follows ... for months now at various herp shows, I've been eyeing a trio of glossy black Asian rat snakes that were described to me as Gonysoma jensoni (not sure if the species name is spelled right). Last Saturday, I finally indulged myself and bought them, along with an olive-and-black individual of the same species, so that I ended up with two pairs. They're currently set up in quarantine, and I'm letting them settle in before I try to feed them, but I'm told they've been eating fresh-killed mice. For all my searching before and since, though, I've been unable to find any information on this species in my books or on the web. There's some on the red-tailed green rat of the same genus, but not on these guys. I assume they're set up much like the red-tailed green, but is anyone here familiar with them and can give more specifics?
