Hi,
I've had Diadems (atriceps sub-species) for a couple years but have never bred them yet. As for their husbandry, I keep them at 80+ degrees daytime, room temp at night. I just give them a hide box, water bowl, and paper substrate. They definitely require hiding areas as they are very nervous. In the wild, they get all the water they need from their prey, but if given a water dish they will drink from it often, so I always give mine water dishes. They're not constrictors, so feeding pre-killed is a must!
The snake in the photo is just over 2 years and not completely finished with it's color change.
: i am purchasing a pair of egyptian ratsnakes without knowing much about them ,except i do now know they are not really ratsnakes.anyone have any or know more? i would like to breed next year ,but as they are a middle eastern species ,do they need to be cooled down? thanks
