I have been wondering for many years now: Why the Yellow Ratsnake is Generally SO UNpopular? I grew up with Yellow Rats, and, Granted, as a child they were usually "Satan Spawn." However, Everglades rats are "popular" to one degree or another. I just simply don't understand.
I realize that there are SO many species, subspecies, and morphs available today that yellow rats (and many others) are low on the "Desirability" list. BUT, yellow rats can't be given away! Dealers don't want them, because they can't "Move" them, and the retail customer is almost none existant. Yet Everglades Sell. Again, I just don't understand.
Albino Yellows have found a small market, but that's just the "Albino" thing. If they weren't "Albinos", you couldn't give them away!
Both Yellow Rats and Everglades are impressive animals in their own right.
Anybody have any thoughts on this?
PS I don't have any that I am having trouble unloading (been through that in the past), just getting ready to aquire a pair or trio--simply because I like them--always have, always will.
