: : Can someone please explain the make up of this morph? How did they come to be? And why is it that only their sides are white?
: : thanks in advance for any replies.
: >>>>>thay came about over 10(I think almost 15 now) yrs ago....George Miskimons from Forrest Hill maryland had one animal.....and has bred them from there...
: it is white on the sides and still had a black striping down the top.....that's the way it was......and it is genetic...
: this trait has shown up in other snake species I think too....(but I forget which)

So they originated from a wild caught snake? I thought it was a morph created in captivity.
As far as i was told, white side Everglades are a combo of axanthic and amel, or something like that, and thought the black white side was some kind of combo.I guess theres no such thing as a axanthic black rat,i would assume they already are.
Thanks for the reply JY.
