Do you not hold your new snakes for a month? That seems pretty drastic to me. It would seem that the snake would forget that people are good if you didn't hold him for that long. I think that maybe he was just surprised when I picked him up. Maybe he was asleep, although I do knock on the glass before I enter the cage to wake them up. Perhaps he was "sleeping like a baby". I'll let you all know if he calms down when I hold him later on today.
