do not knock on the glass first. The sudden vibrations may be scaring this snake. Try just opening the cage, approaching him slowly, and very gently picking him up by sliding your hands under him. It may not make a difference, but it is worth a try. I would just handle him every couple of days to get him used to it. I bet he'll calm down soon. Rin
