That's an old trend. There seems to be some linkage between albinism and one-eyed animals. This probably does NOT have anything to do with the albino trait, BUT just linked traits on a single chromosome (or some other "package" deal as far as inherityance goes). I can name more instances of certain characteristics being inherited with a certain trait, too.

(P.S.> This post is probably irrelevant because I'm not sure why this was posted, but I seemed to gather that someone was blaming the albino trait for the one-eyedness. I have seen no evidence that this is proven, though.
