We build evidence from circumstance and proof, combine it with logic, and ultimately we arrive at what will hopefully be accepted as fact. The classified post in question mentions a large percentage of albino babies born with one or NO eyes, and then goes on to state that the normal appearing het babies born of the same breeding were perfect. This amounts to evidence of genetic frailty in the amelanistic animals. "Linked traits on a single chromosome"? In other words, genetic, correct? Would you call blind amelanistic animals born together with healthy normal hets, genetically superior? Is blindness a desirable, inheritable trait? Would you like us to just accept this circumstantial evidence of weakness as a byproduct of osmosis or something. Just coincidence, couldn't possibly be linked to the amelanistic trait. Wait, YOU SAID that amelanism and blindness was a "old trend", didn't you? The Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and Blind Albino Boas. Just fantasy and dumb luck.

So, I lied. When I produce that albino multistriata that I brought up in 1999 (when this thread started), then I will freely admit that all albinos have 20/20 and that the blind ones must have all had acid sprayed in their collective eyes. LOL, I never LOL, by the way. That's the first and last time I will ever write that.
