: Hey Mark,
: Please check out our web-site Ratsnakes of the Genus Elaphe www.kingsnake.com/korell/, here you will find some basic info on E. prasina.
: Have never seen any WC E. prasina imported, there are CB available, I have seen them sell for $750-850. ea.
: It's not that they are so rare, it's just being a small green snakes that mostly lives in trees and bush, it's very hard to see/find/collect !
: The one on Bushmaster Breeding center, is not a morph. some of them just have some nice blue coloring.
: They are a very cool snake indeed !!

Hey, Rex. I have seen a few pics, and these are gorgeous animals. I'm looking forward to working with them, but hoping they will be more easily affordable when I get around to it.
The range for prasina seems to be the highlands of s.e. Asia (tropical zone). But since they tend to be at higher elevations, they should probably be treated as a subtropical snake, right? Moellendorffi and taeniura would be similar in their requirements, I expect. Probably about three months of hibernation, at mild temps. They are about an average length I think...about 4 ft? Just beautiful colors, bright greens, sometimes bluish tints, blue eyes get cha'. Can anyone post a pic on this forum??
Keep us posted on these, guys. Much appreciated.
Terry
