I have a pair of Lyres that we've raised sinced they were both WC two years ago at 20 and 22 inches in length. They are now much larger. Once acclimated, they both readily fed on prekilled mice left in the cage overnight. Now this year, they have been brumated at 52-56 degrees for three months solid. They were warmed up about two weeks ago and both shed within a day of each other about 5 days ago. I offered them both prekilled mice and ofr the first itme, they refused to eat. So I decided to throw them together as they were not interested in eating and both had undergone their post brumation shed. I got nothing. They are a probed pair and the tail shape differences support such as well.
Do you think that because the post brumation shed was so soon after coming out, that it almost doesn't count as the post brumation shed and is instead just a shed cycle that was more like a shed that fell in the middle of brumation?
Do you think I should just wait till the next shed to introduce?
I just want some babies!!!
They are awesome little guys. We also have 2.1 subadults that may be ready to breed in '04.
So...let's discuss.
