Luecistic Texas Ratsnake 5 Years Old

I have been searching for a Luecistic Texas Ratsnake and have found one in my area at a Pet Store...which I am told is about five years old (the snake is six feet long). My question for those who have experience with Rat Snakes is this something I should walk away from and are there special things to look for with a snake this age. The snake appears healthy...eyes...skin...etc. I have searched and can't find a marketvalue for a snake this age. Any information will be deeply appreciated and feel free to email/contact me.
