I may be causing myself to appear ignorant, but I need some clarification on this matter. I was under the impression that rat snakes kill by constricting prey.In fact, I watched an older rat snake aggressively constrict a rat at the store where I bought my snake. However, my baby texas rat snake (which I have fed twice now) makes no attempt whatsoever to constrict its meals. It just "strolls" on up to the pinkie and commences swallowing. Is this normal feeding behavior for baby rat snakes? Whatthehell? Thanks!
