VK, I would be glad to share my recent experience with you. My proven adult rhyno also just (one week ago) retained two eggs inside her after laying 15 eggs. I waited a few days to see if they would pass but they did not. I had heard of egg asperation (sp?) but have never did it before so was obviously a little nervous. I proceeded to contact Cathy Love here in the US. A well known cornsnake breeder and very experienced herper and she proceeded to describe the procedure.
I obtained two different sizes of syringes to do the asperation. I first used a very small syringe from a diabetic friend. The two eggs were located very high in her body so I proceeded to enter the egg from the lower half of the side of her body on the egg lowest to her tail. Unfortunately the needle was to small and did not extract any egg fluid. I proceeded to do the same attempt on the other egg also. Frustrated at this point I knew I needed a larger syringe so I left her alone for a day. To my surprise the next day both eggs had fallen to near her cloaca. A few hours later she proceeded to pass one egg with the other still bound.
I waited one more day to see if it would pass and it did not. By this time I had gottan a much larger needle and syringe and proceed to asperate the second egg which was just yeterday. I entered the egg in the same fashion and proceeded to extract nearly half of the fluids inside the egg. I will be checking on her again to day with the hops that she will have passed the egg.
In discussing this procedure with Cathy she mentioned that she had great success in the past with cornsnakes with no effect on future breedings. Her theory is that many captive kept snakes do not get the needed amount of excercise to build muscle tissue to eventually pass eggs in the correct fashion. As a side note, both times I attempted this procedure there was no blood produced by the needle. I proceeded to clean the area with a mild betadine solution.
Hope this helps and please forgive my spelling errors. I typed this hastily. let me know if you need any further information and hopefully I can provide it.

P.S. I want to again thanks Cathy Love for calling me back and sharing her experience and information with me!!
