I wanted to hear opinions from those who have worked with both E. schrencki schrencki and E. schrencki anomala (E. anomala). Do you think the Korean Ratsnake (E. anomala) should be given specific status? I have only worked with E. s. schrencki, but based on individuals I've seen, I'd say they are very similar snakes. The differences between these two species/subspecies are no more extreme than those between subspecies of E. obsoleta (a Yellow and Gray ratsnake, for example). Don't these two species/subspecies have natural intergrades? I would love to know what you think.
