If I sent you a "screamer", maybe you should send it back, so I can give you a "quieter" one, hehe. Anyway, here's a couple more tips.
Russians can process their food very quickly under the right conditions, one or two days. I keep mine 68* to 82*F. in the summer, cooler other times. They are adapted to a short active season. It's difficult to keep them active in the fall. I try to hibernate mine until late spring, April or May, to keep them going longer in fall. They can eat pinks from birth, large pinks shortly after, and two pinks a week easy after they double in length. Jeremy's probably can eat one or two fuzzies a week, except in shed cycle, and sometimes even then.
My yearlings are about two ft. long, and are starting to get adult coloring already. It depends where they're from and how fast they grow. They may have bright yellow on the labials and throat and/or part of the ventrals, but don't expect to find any with yellow the full length. At least I haven't seen any like that in the 14 yrs. I've been looking at them.
Glad your's are doing well, Dean. Did the big guy make babies like we hoped he would? They are super friendly aren't they? Some of the Dione's rats make great pets too, having some of the same qualities. You might want to look into it. Later,
TC
