Wow! Hope ya have luck putting those big ones together. I had him with a large female, about 5.5 ft., the year before sending him to you. She dropped 18 eggs, most of which hatched. I think we started them kinda late last year. I would put her in with him as soon as she completes her first shed for a couple weeks. Then put her back in with him after her second shed, or just leave her in. By the time she gets opaque again, she should be gravid. Good luck.
BTW, the overhead lamp helps somewhat. It rarely gets over 75*F here in the spring, so I sometimes put a light on ones I want to mate, so the female can bask and warm her eggs. I also have their cage in a spot that gets sunlight for about an hour in the morning and they bask a lot. TC.
