I have a 5 year old pair (E. schrencki schrencki) that I've had since they were neonates. They have never refused a feeding and are the most docile rat snakes I've ever had.
Babies that have a real contrasty pattern are usually E. s. schrencki and more faded babies (smudged pattern) are usually E. s. anomala, from Korea. Unfortunately, I've never had the facilities to sufficiently cool these guys for breeding, so they haven't given me eggs. Good luck.
