Mine are '01s, too. I will post some new pics soon, but I bet they aren't as far ahead as you think. They are around 25+ inches and losing the banding. I got them in July from Tim at Vivid Reptiles.
Yeah, I'm not too worried about my male. He's still longer than the female, but not nearly as heavy. She's a champ.
I hesitate to feed live, though, mainly because they are harder to keep around, but also-more expensive than bulk f/t, they can bite, and I hate seeing them die. I like mice.
I only tried it as a last resort on getting him to eat a hairy mouse.
