Sweater Box-Racks

I'm venting here. If you're not in the mood for a vent, ignore this post.

I was just perusing through the python forum. I noticed somebody had some beautiful womas, but I also noticed they were kept in a tupperware/sterilite type box in a rack set-up.

Now, if I were to spend upwards of $1000 for a snake, I sure as hell wouldn't be keeping it in a translucent, plastic box. I'd have it in a cage with big glass doors in the front so I could watch it.

I know there are plenty of snakes that do just fine with confined quarters. I have some rubber boas in a slide out cage (which in retrospect I never should have gotten...the cage or snakes).

Why would you have such an expensive animal, then keep it in a little cage so that you can't even observe it's behavior or admire the beauty?

For me...I'm much happier having animals I can see.
