: Hey fellas....just a quick follow-up on incubation matters. I'm aware that the highest allowed temp is 80, but what is tolerated for a drop? I'm assuming 75, as that is the variant i've used for years with other colubrid eggs. Just want to be sure as it's my first clutch of Easterns. Thanks!!
Jerry,
lowest drop that I would take is 75 degrees.ASn equally large worry is proper air circulation, if the eggs are incubated in cinditions wherein the air does not circulate well, problems can and often will arise. That top number(80) is there for a reason, when you go higher the incidence of spinal kinks and death in the egg goes up dramatically. Best of luck with your first clutch.
