I see your point. I don't feel like the practice of preserving DOR snakes at a private level is wrong, though. I myself have over 50 preserved skins of DOR snakes, and many are the only representatives of a species that I have ever found. I can see the downside to marketing these on a commercial level as it publicly promotes snakes as purses, hatbands, and earrings and not as beautiful and essential parts of the ecosystem. I hate the thought of a perfectly good DOR rotting away on the pavement and I think that immortalizing them in some way is the least that can be done. Let's hear some other opinions.
