REALLY GOOD black pines are awesome snakes indeed, and by buying a Pituophis(Bull, pine, gopher snake, you put yourself in league with a bunch of people on the Pituophis forum who REALLY like their snakes and aren't just in it for the money. They're fanatics to be sure!:)
Black Pines are neat loking, with heavily keeled scales and dark color. IF you choose to get some, be very choosey who you buy from. Not all black pines are from parents that stayed all black, some have various degrees of pattern and white under the chin. I would PASS on these and instead demand ALL BLACK pines from ALL BLACK parents. they eat well, and grow like weeds. Next to Indigos...I like Pituophis best, so I am biased, but they are great snakes and very forgiving of mistakes(temp, food, handeling etc)
Good luck!!
