OK that explains it. I know a lot of people like you. I've been a vet tech for 10 years and blah blah blah. For some of us with brains and motivation this job is a stepping stone. I actually just replaced my supervisor who has been at this gig for 12 years. Maybe I can come over there and take a crack at your job next. The fact of the matter is I am speaking from actual experience. I have worked with reptiles for the last 20 years. I personally have given doses of this medication to hundreds of pythons(balls, burms, sri lankans, retics, bloods, etc.) and now also my own indigo. I am sorry that after 10 years in the biz you haven't the experiences I have had in a fraction of that time. I am sorry that without your precious VIN you would be lost. You are no better than a stubborn client that comes in touting off what they heard on the internet. Next time you want to give me advice you will have to do better than hand-me-downs from your exalted reptile vet or bits and pieces gathered from an online forum. Stick to vaccinating stray cats. Modern reptile medicine was built on the knowledge obtained by brilliant vets like Frye. It's kinda scary that you would disregard what he has to say because it is not the newest product on the shelf or because you think there are no indigos in the UK. Has the molecular structure of Flagyl or Panacur changed since Frye wrote those volumes? Has it changed since yesterday? Which was the last time I used it on a reptile. In fact believe it or not there are such things as medical journals and periodicals. I'm sure you have heard of them. In case you haven't I will explain how they work. They are written by Vets for Vets. Hmmm.. that sounds an awful lot like your online forum. If you really want I can dig up the latest research done on flagyl and panacur. I can even tell you who wrote it and when. But it would just be for your peice of mind because I already know what they say.
