You should give them a try. I have had success bringing back to health some snakes that were having some serious digestive problems. I have not found them to be a total substitute for flagyl or ivermectin, but it can certainly work wonders on pathogens that haven't gotten too much of a strong hold on a snake. Since you are soon to be a vet you ought to consider studying to see if probiotics has any effect on salmonella, and maybe we as herpers can have something to use as a counter against these animal rights fanatic organizations that keep popping up out of the woodwork.
