This species is probably much less understood, bred or researched than the Eastern. From reading this board I would think there are no more than 20 or so successful breeders in the States. And since it is illegal to collect or own them in TX, this makes it difficult- Permits are NOT granted by TX. Although my experiences here indicate there are thousands more TX Indigoes in the wild than Eastern in their locales. This is true because there are still fairly vast areas of S.TX undeveloped compared to GA and FL. Gimme some feedback and tell me if my surmises are faulty- dont worry I have tough skin.:)
