I knew a guy who had a dwarf female too. It wasn't that small, but it was at least 5 or 6 years old, large head and thickbody, but maybe only 4 feet.
It was a very strange snake. You had to really study it to believe it was an eastern indigo. It would flatten it's neck out like a hognose, not vertically which is typical of Drymarchon. and it would BITE.
Strange litte mutant it was looked like a forest cobraCome to think of it, maybe it was a cobra.
(kidding)
He never tried to breed it. I think it's at a zoo now. Should have tried Ripley's believe it or not.
I have no idea whose stock it came from.
...funny the large number that are popping up in this little conversation when you consider how few are in capitvity compared to other snakes.
