: every year. And they all ad up to the same thing...Impossible to get permits. My advice, like the ones given earlier is for you to work with Yellow tails or Melanarus, or rubidus. To difficult a process for florida residents, who ironically enough, would have the best climatic conditions to breed them in.

While it is true that Fl. is the ideal place to breed Eastern Indigos, the reason the permits are so hard to attain is to discourage people from breeding & then selling for profit. The permits are only given to Zoo's & for educational purposes only. Also the only animals doled out to such institutions are by confiscation only. With so many specimens on the market, it is better to leave this one alone.
