I had the same problem with my yearling Indigo. My vet help a wet papertowel on his eye for a few minutes. Then he to a hypodermic needle and just got the edge of the unshed eyecap. It popped off like a contact lens. Now I just make sure I keep the cage humid when it is sheding time. Been fine since.
