remember my indigo's eye cap shed problem?

well the vet tried to reomve it, but he did not want to tear it off, so we are holding out til the next shed, where upon, if it does not come off we will remove it. I am planning on putting a hide box with moss (high hummidity) in there--should this REPLACE his "other" hide box? if not, he's not going to have a lot of room in his tank. What are your thoughts on the eye cap?
