I agree with everyone else on this matter. Get it off now. Not removing it now will make it more difficult to remove the next time it sheds. When this happened to my indigos, I put them in a bucket of luke warm to room temp. water for about 30 min.(5 gal plastic bucket with many air holes in the top). Then try to remove the eye cap. I have always been able to do this with my finger nail. Don't try to remove the eye cap without softening/loosening it first by some type of moisture treatment.
