In Reply to: Shoman, I had one back in 1967 when I lived in Ohio, that once posted by Dan P. on May 16, 2001 at 22:45:52:
I was traveling through Milwaukee from Iowa (with my 6 foot indigo)and stayed at a local motel, with the indigo in a 20 gallon (on the closet floor) for the night and next day.
The night was uneventful but the next day, when I returned to my room at about 2 pm to pack I turned the corner to find a vacuum cleaner running in my room, the closet door open and the cage open. The indigo was on the top shelf of the closet coiled up.
When I went down to the front desk to return the vacuum cleaner and to inquire, the guy at the desk said that one of the maids had just left the building, running, and that she seemed very upset.
"Hunh... isn't that somethin'," I said, as I slithered back upstairs
Indigos are so impressive even when you know them and see them every day - I am always amazed by them. Imagine what it would be like to see one of these big boys if you're NOT a snake enthusiast... truly horrifying, I imagine!
