I just picked up a pair of wc Blacktailed Cribos yesturday. I have been looking into getting Drymarchon for a couple of months and have been reading this forum and gandering at Indigosnakes.com since Christmas.
Well I took the plunge and now have (two) three foot Blacktailed Cribos. I have them in a 55 gallon for now, but will probably build them a custom cage this summer.
My biggest worry is that they will not eat, as the person who sold them to me said he did not have them long enough to guarantee feeding. I am soooooo dieing to put a rat in there, put don't want to stress them by offering food too soon. If they are reluctant, I will look for tips ahead of time. Got any? Any advice for a new Drymarchon fan?
I have been keeping Lampropeltis, Elaphe, and Pituophis for years. I am prepared for a higher food intake (and output.) Any other differences I should know that I might not have found out? I could write a book of questions, so I'll leave it at that and say fire away! -Heather
